Woe. I guess I'll just have to go on being me, then.
It means "bad wolf." Our mayor, a few years ago, was going to build a nuclear plant and called it the Blydd Drwg project, but she disappeared before it could be completed. I've always liked the name, though.
Unless you're very fond of lego, hotels, and detective work, I don't think you'd want to be me. Being very fond of Matt is also required. I think you're probably better off being you, to be honest.
...Oddly, that's... Sort of what I thought it sounded like. Well, dog, anyway. Which sounds far more like a rap singer than a goth, I think...
It's pronounced "blithe droog", more or less. I just like the sound.
There's a graffiti artist called Bad Wolf in the city. Not horribly creative--he just writes his name--but there's hardly a building he hasn't tagged at least once.
I grew up speaking Welsh--I found English harder. At least Welsh's rules are consistent--there's no explaining a language where rough, through, and borough sound nothing alike. And whose idea was "i before e except after c"? And don't even get me started on the lie/lay thing.
Ah, I see. English is quite ridiculous, of course, but Welsh does rather look as if you'd need to pull out your tongue to pronounce some of it. Still, consistent rules would be nice.
You speak English remarkably well for it being your second language, by the way. When did you start leaning it...?

I think you've made me schizophrenic.

And I'm sorry to you, too.

No, we don't.
Ignore him. He's just bitter about being second.

Interesting meme, though. I know I'm going to regret asking, but what does 'Blydd Drwg' actually mean...?

I always wonder how they get around so much. It's something of a talent in itself, I suppose...
no subject
Presumably they travel under cover of darkness, work quickly and melt again into the night.
no subject
Mmm, probably. I bet they travel in packs, too...

When I started school, at five. So I suppose strictly speaking I grew up speaking it as well.

Nikola's hands were already cold in Milliways. Cardiff's chill doesn't faze him.

"Do you like Italian? the restaurant's I have in mind specializes in Italian. Quite authentic, I'm told."

Not entirely for the food, but that plays a part.

Timey-wimey and all that.
"It's been gentrified quite a bit in the last twenty years, so it may be very different since you were here last."
They start off in the direction of the restaurant.

He's not, though. "God, that was ten years before I was even born."
