Tosh had an idea when I came in this morning: I should take some vocabulary and maths aptitude tests now, and again after I change back, to test if male brains and female brains work differently. And I get the sense that's just the beginning of the tests she'd like to run on me.

. . . I want to hide down in the archives for a bit. I mean, I'll do them, but I'm not wild about feeling like a lab monkey. I'm still me, dammit.

...I can't say I've had a lot of experience with those, either, though they don't sound very pleasant. I don't particularly enjoy watching other people in pain, either, and I don't entirely understand people who do.

That's what he says. I just... He seems to have been enjoying this a lot, and I don't want him to feel... deprived. It sounds silly, doesn't it...? I just want him happy and to feel... fulfilled, I suppose. I occasionally get... knotted up about these things. It doesn't last long, though, I'll be all right in a little while.

I think the point of friends is to worry about them, actually. I'd just hate to see you hurt.

That's very kind of you, but the reason I have to stay home is that I can't leave because of work. I don't know what I'm going to do, rattling around in that massive house by myself... It will. I intend it to, at least. I'm worried about Matt, too-- he's not really... fond of being on his own. And in all the time we've been together, we've never been apart for more than a few hours. This is going to be... very difficult.

We'd never steal your bed, Ianto, but it's very generous of you to offer. Besides, if Matt were coming we'd probably get a room in a hotel. Obvious reasons. I'm sure you need your sleep, after all~
