Log: [for Lorne]
In the end, Ianto decided not to buy flowers.
He stands on the platform where the 1755 from Crewe will stop, his hands in his pockets. As usual, he appears calm--as usual, he's not quite what he appears. There are always questions when you meet someone for the first time--but it feels different even now than it did when he was waiting for Martha and Sam and Near.
It's the difference, he muses, between waiting for someone you like and waiting for someone you love.
But before he can think on it further, there's the train.
Ianto takes a deep breath. Straightens his tie. Smiles despite his nerves. And waits for Lorne.
[ooc: Yes, it's your friend and mine, adult content. You expected maybe something different?]

He did remember to brush his teeth though. Once this morning, and again when he stopped in Crewe.
The train slows and stops and the door opens. Lorne steps onto the platform, feeling more than a little lost and scans the crowd for a familiar face, trying to ignore the nerves building in his stomach.

He sees a dark head, broad shoulders--"Lorne!"

He sees Ianto. For the very first time. And his heart starts hammering in his chest. He forces himself to walk over instead of running. He knows he told Ianto that he wanted to kiss him, but now that he's here, he's terrified. But he has to touch him, just a little.
He lets his duffle slip to the floor and, almost without realizing it, rests his hand momentarily over Ianto's heart, before sliding it up to squeeze his shoulder. From there it's only a short trip to the back of Ianto's neck, and before long, he has his fingers in Ianto's hair and is tilting Ianto's head down, resting their foreheads together in unconscious mimicry of an Athosian greeting.
"Hi," he says breathily.

"Hi," he says quietly.
He kisses Lorne carefully, not too hard, not too intense--a kiss that says hello and thank god you're here and I'm so happy I can't speak.

He pulls back just a bit to look into Ianto's eyes, smiles and says, "God, I love you, geek."

He wraps his arms around Lorne and hugs him tight.

"You really do smell like coffee."

He leans down to pick up his duffle and slings it over his shoulder. "Lay on, MacDuff," he says, taking Ianto's hand with a nervous glance, not quite sure if it's allowed.

All the same, when they get to Ianto's car, he drops his duffle again and pulls Ianto to him for another quick kiss. "Beautiful," he says, and he's not talking about the car.

He keeps his hand on Lorne's knee the entire drive, except when he needs it to change gears.
