There’s a burglar behind you, what would you grab to hit them with?
If a burglar is behind me I wouldn't grab something to hit them with because they would see the movement and grab the object from me. The way to defend yourself when someone is behind you is to thrust back with your elbow towards their face, hard as you can.

1999, I was eighteen . . . probably watching the fireworks in Bute Park.

We were friends for a long time--until we left for university, I think. Nothing came of it.
