You are The Emperor
Stability, power, protection, realization; a great person.
The Emperor is the great authority figure of the Tarot, so it represents
fathers, father-figures and employers. There is a lot of aggression and violence
too.
The Emperor naturally follows the Empress. Like an infant, he is filled with enthuiasm, energy, aggression. He is direct, guileless and all too often irresistible. Unfortunately, like a baby he can also be a tyrant. Impatient, demanding, controlling. In the best of circumstances, he signifies the leader that everyone wants to follow, sitting on a throne that indicates the solid foundation of an Empire he created, loves and rules with intelligence and enthusiasm. But that throne can also be a trap, a responsibility that has the Emperor feeling restless, bored and discontent.
What Tarot Card are You?

I . . . have nothing to add. Not even another quiz.

Oh, love. And I want you home with me so much.
I worry about what it'll cost us. What it'll cost you and if the price will be too high.
I just want to make you happy and I worry that this has only made things more complicated.
no subject
You do make me happy, Ianto. You make me so happy.
And yes, it's complicated, but love always complicates things.
no subject
I'm glad. I'm so glad. (Not so much for the complications but that I make you happy.)
You make me happy too, my love.
no subject
I'm glad for that too.
Am I not telling you often enough? You always make me happy, babe. I love you, and you make my life better for being in it.
no subject
I'm greedy--I want to hear it all the time until I can see it for myself.
I feel so ineloquent when I try to tell you--all I can say is that I love you.
no subject
I'll try to remember to tell you every day.
That's all I need to hear. That you love me and you want me and I make you happy.
no subject
When we're together you won't need to tell me. I'll be able to see it.
I love you. I want you. You make me happy.
no subject
Then I'll tell you every day until then.
Thank you, darling.
no subject
You're welcome, sweetheart.
Don't forget your umbrella.
no subject
Cheese sandwiches.

Jack said today he can tell when I'm thinking about you. I was rather surprised at that. But I suppose it's obvious sometimes, that I'm with you even when I'm standing in the hub.
no subject
God, darling, that's...that makes me smile to think of.
no subject
Good. It makes me smile too.

You know, today, I was going over some mission reports, and I started thinking about you being here. And I thought that, if you were here, I could just call you up on the radio and make up some excuse to get you to my office, and you could just come and sit on my lap for a while. Not fucking, not even snogging, just...being there.

I wonder if they'd give us a partner desk. Probably not, but we'd get more accomplished if they did. I mean, I'm dexterous but even I can't work when sitting on someone's knee.
no subject
I don't expect you to be there all the time. Just every once in a while. It'd be a nice way to take a break, you know?
And I suspect that whatever you end up doing, you'll be off in a lab somewhere.
no subject
Those first few weeks are going to be a bit rough, I suspect--I'm going to want to run off to see you all the time.
A lab sounds okay, though.
no subject
As long as you're not in McKay's department, I'm sure your department head will be sympathetic.
Is it weird that I find the idea of you in a lab coat to be incredibly sexy?
no subject
I doubt I'll be assigned to McKay's department. Wrong field of study.
No. *smiles*
no subject
No, I don't think you will be. And I'm very, very grateful for that. He works his people hard, long hours, early mornings...Not what I'm hoping you'll have to deal with.
Oh, good. 'Cause I think I'm going to really, really enjoy visiting you in the lab.
no subject
I'm crossing my fingers for the language lab.
So am I. I'm looking forward to every second of it.
no subject
I'd love to see you geeking out over database translations. And if you pick up Ancient fairly quickly, I might be able to take you on a mission or two.
So am I.
no subject
Fluency in two languages and reading ability in two more should help, shouldn't it? Or would they consider that child's play?
no subject
Well, we've got a lot of really, really smart people out here with degrees coming out their ears, but familiarity with Latin will be a big plus as will a grasp of theoretical linguistics.
no subject
. . . oh, god. What if I'm just not qualified? That never occurred to me until just now. I mean, my Latin's all right and I've studied language development some--mostly how English developed, but I could take notes in phonetic if I had to--but still.
