I'm not trying to hint around everything it it's just... embarrassing.
Sam and I slept together and it got awkward afterwards. He and I had gotten together during that whole year that didn't happen thing and ... I have my own feelings for him and it just exploded into a huge mess.

Why is that embarrassing? Things happened here and they happened now, and . . . sometimes they don't work out the way we want. I'm sorry it didn't. He's a good bloke. But his past relationships have been so complicated I suppose I'm not terribly surprised he couldn't deal.

I just feel at this age, I know people make stupid errors, especially when they aren't thinking straight and I know I wasn't then, I should be able to be more in control of myself and my actions.

And . . . I don't know. I'm not always sure I'm in control of myself either, so I can't judge. Is there ever an age when it all makes sense and fits into place? Because I'm not sure there is.

I've been been dealing with aliens and rifts in time for almost five years and I still don't understand it. I'm not surprised he doesn't.

He knows I miss him. He's visiting again next month and he comes as often as he can, and since you gave him the phone we've talked quite a bit--but it's not enough and I'm terrible because it's not enough.
