Today I bought wedding magazines.
This was a mistake.
You want to know why this was a mistake? Well, I'm going to tell you. BECAUSE THE WEDDING INDUSTRY IS COMPLETELY BRIDE-ORIENTED AND IS NOT HELPING ME AT ALL.
I suppose this is good in its way, because it gives us license to invent our own traditions and make our own decisions, but on the other hand . . . I would really like to do this right.
At this rate you lot will be lucky if you get a cup of water and a slice of cake at the reception, I hope you realize that.
And you're only getting cake because Lorne wants cake.

Oh, the imagery.
Check and check. You can drink tonic water with me the night before, while the others get hammered. How are you doing stag night, anyway? Just going out together, or keeping things traditionally seperate?

Oh, god. I need to book a videographer.
Owen suggested two stag nights. I think . . . arranging that is also the best man's job. What do you think?

Hmm. I suppose two would be ideal, but how many people you know seperately will be in town the night before? Are families coming? See, most TIC-ers are friends of both, so deciding which one they go to might be a problem. Unless you particularly want to be seperate, I'd say screw tradition and have one together.

I like the idea of a family party, actually, rather than an actual stag night. I don't want to go to a strip club, for instance.

*Nods* That's doable - maybe go eat somewhere, first, as well. That generally helps with not getting too out of hand. And if we hire a room or something, we can control the music, if you want to actually talk to people.

Yes, something like that. Supper and just a place for us all to talk and let everyone get to know each other.
