[internet cafe] my day just got very, very strange

[Filtered from Jack]

Oh.

My.

God.

The Captain has a journal.

Um.

Be nice to him? And don't mention the moral dilemma I've been having here about jumping him?

God.

My boss.

No, I don't mind, and he's very interesting, trust me. I'm pleased, really. I think.

Quite funny, too...

Just so long as you don't mind. There are plenty of people I wouldn't like to turn up here...

[identity profile] morethanteaboy.livejournal.com 2007-03-28 09:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh yes, he's very clever.

If O. showed up, then I might get upset. I suspect he'd comment on my entries with goat porn and obscene limericks. The Captain--I guess I can call him Jack now, actually--he'll behave. Well. He'll behave like Jack.

[identity profile] legofortress.livejournal.com 2007-03-28 09:56 pm (UTC)(link)
I can see that.

...I think it might be better for us all if he doesn't, then. What's goat po-- Actually, never mind.

He seems to be mixing well, though... That's good, isn't it?

[identity profile] morethanteaboy.livejournal.com 2007-03-28 09:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Jack likes people. I'm not surprised at all.

Goat porn is exactly what it sounds like. Be very, very careful of your search terms when researching on the internet, that's all I have to say.

[identity profile] legofortress.livejournal.com 2007-03-28 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Seemingly so. He's very easy to talk to.

Oh, yes, I'm sure it was all entirely accidental on your part... I'll heed the advice nevertheless, though, thank you.

Despite the slurs cast on my nationality, I have no sexual interest in livestock.

Yes, he is.

[identity profile] legofortress.livejournal.com 2007-03-28 10:12 pm (UTC)(link)
I didn't mean that! Just... occasionally... I find a maddening desire to know exactly what is the absolute worst thing on the internet. Perhaps I'm wrong in assuming others do as well...? But I intended no slight to your nationality. ...Anyway, I thought that was sheep, not goats...?

He'll get on well here, then, as it seems everyone here likes to talk...

[identity profile] morethanteaboy.livejournal.com 2007-03-28 10:14 pm (UTC)(link)
I know. Perhaps I'm being too dry.

The worst thing on the internet, I think, is the goatse picture. And no, you don't want to see it.

Oh, I've no doubt he'll get on. He'd thrive underwater. It's a gift.

[identity profile] legofortress.livejournal.com 2007-03-28 10:21 pm (UTC)(link)
No, I was just making sure. I've had... problems with people assuming I was insulting them before. It's not you, really.

...I'll take your word for it, then.

Quite a gift, I'm sure.

[identity profile] morethanteaboy.livejournal.com 2007-03-28 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)
You have to be adaptable in this line of work, don't you think?

[identity profile] legofortress.livejournal.com 2007-03-28 10:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Probably. I've never done very much... Field investigation, though, where I could help it, so it's not a skill I've had a lot of occasion to hone, and I don't think it's a natural talent of mine.

Then again, I'm lucky enough that most situations don't really bother me, unless there are an awful lot of people around.

[identity profile] morethanteaboy.livejournal.com 2007-03-28 10:46 pm (UTC)(link)
It depends on the kind of investigation. It takes training to do undercover well, for example; but being in the field, asking questions and gathering information, that's not as intense. Though for both one needs to be able to think on one's feet.
