may you live in interesting times
Oct. 4th, 2007 10:51 amTimes have been a little too interesting, so I'd like to play a game and get our minds off it all.
This is a quotations game. I'll post a quotation in this entry, and people guess the source in the comments. AND THEN this is where it gets interactive: in your guess you have to post a quotation too for other people to guess. On it goes until we run out of quotations or get sidetracked talking about, I don't know, shoes.
Multiple guesses are okay, we can have as many threads going as you want, branching off is okay, and movies, television, books and lyrics are all fair game. Make your quotations as difficult or as recognizable as you like.
"What is wrong with you? Hey, I don't want to eat nothing but pancakes, I want to live! I mean, who in their right mind in a choice between pancakes and living chooses pancakes?"
". . . if you pause to think, you'd realize that that answer is inextricably contingent upon the type of life being led . . . and, of course, the quality of the pancakes."
[ooc: "If you say "D'you want a cup of coffee?" and she says, "Yeah," then you know . . . sex is on."
Which is another way of saying, adult content in comments.]
